No where in the game do I remember them saying Berial was best buds with Mundus. Regardless, Dante slaughtered Mundus years ago, so some guy 2nd in power to him really doesn't mean a damn thing to Dante.
Was I the only one disappointed with Lucifer? I mean, when I first saw Berial, I geeked out cuz I imagined some giant weapon on fire. Like a sword, a halberd or maybe even an axe.
I hope they bring back the boss-themed weaponry in DMC5. There's just something that's satisfying about claiming a boss's powers as your own.
I only wished that Berial would have been a tougher battle. He looked the part, but his skills didn't follow through. I was even more disappointed when he went out like a bitch with that weak-ass suicide attack. But still, he's one of my favorite DMC bosses.

Does it matter? At this point Dante is so bad-ass he can take on just about anyone and anything. And if he should somehow stumble, I'm sure they'll overpower Nero and make him run in and pwn whatever is after Dante, regardless of the fact that by my understanding (and my own opinion) Dante hardly even tries and he's still better than Nero.
Dante is too powerful now. He no longer has to put up any effort, therefore he isn't relatable anymore. I mean superman is probably the most powerful fiction hero but he's a lame-ass in my opinion.
Dante was the coolest in the original devilmaycry. When he got his ass kicked by his brother, showed some emotion and wasn't a smartass wiseguy in every scene.
In Devilmaycry 5 they need to make Dante the Main character again. 100%. They need to bring Mundus back to take Dante down a few notches. Mundus will make him dig deep into his power once again. No more circus theatrics before a big fight. Maybe take us deeper into Dante's past with some flashbacks? There are so many good opportunities for the 5th game. Capcom better not fuck it up and leave us with more questions then answers again.
