Well hopefully he'll include some of the PC-98 characters. At least the ones that have connections with the Windows characters. (Like everyone from MS and Alice, Elly, Mima, etc.)

Also credit to some 'forgotten' characters... like the dragon... I just don't understand why HE of all things is left out...
After many years, the Touhou franchise finally broke my spirit and won my interest. From calling it "the cancer that is killing the internet" and wanting to lobby for a Touhoubooru to understanding stuff like the Nine Ball joke, NEET-Hime and Old Maids Alliance and even starting to like some of it's characters, things have changed for humble little me. God save my soul. That said, many thanks for this chart. It is godsend to those still very green on the ways of Gensokyo.

just a consequence of the name. its never had anything to do with any Shinto diety, as the entire concept itself was brought in from Europe from the Death/Grim Reaper we all know and don't fear.

Shinigamis are technically death "spirits". Its really just a translation error combined with the Western "Grim Reaper." (A "spirit" thats higher rank than human "spirits"? It must be "god"! Hence death "god".)

"spirits" is one way to put it but it's more like it's own being, kind of like angels/devils for western society.
Yup, it's from Double Spoiler. Aya's comments on the spellcards:
1-1:I did a little photography practice with the harvest goddess who was wandering nearby. Maybe I'll do this again if I start getting rusty...
1-2:My practice partner snapped. Even though I should have been the one getting angry! It bothers me how easily gods lose their tempers these days...
I don't think it EVER meant that Minoriko agreed to be Aya's "partner". All I understand in this, is that Aya was taking pictures from Minoriko without her consent, and that Minoriko went Berzerk when she found out about it.
If Aya considers someone as her "photography partner", I think it's the same kind of logic than Marisa who is "borrowing" things.
To sum it up: this is all due to the "Pure and honest" personality of Aya.
