Yes there is something very Lovecraftian about them (The phrase "The Color out of Kanto" or "the sahdow over Hoenn" comes to mind)

I just noticed that the Sudowoodo is cut in half, and the Farfetch'd's leek has a slit around the top like a sheathed sword. I'm thinking Sudowoodu just got iajutsu'd.

Of all the grimdark and creepy pokémon redesigns I've seen, these really are the greatest.
