I'd like to believe they have a good reason for it, but you can never be too sure with big companies like these.
I'm sure they wouldn't want us speculating but wow TWO talents at once and no graduation streams? I feel like even if it truly was an issue where they just didn't renew their contracts and wanted to leave they would still get to have a final stream and opportunities to say goodbye and everything. Plus the month of radio silence makes the situation feel even fishier.
It's one of the part I really hate about the corpo Vtuber sphere. They promoted new personalities to the viewers, try to get us to love them enough to want to tune in for hours multiple times a week, and then one day they tell you those people are just Thanos-snapped away now and you're not allowed to ask any questions. The genmates too, are almost always relegated to chanting the few same-old corpo script "we're sad but we hope you'll continue to support us", and in a few days be expected to act like everything is back to normal. Then it feels ickier when there's dramatubers eager to jump on wild speculations and stir up more hate because that's what gets the clicks.
Like, I know transparency might hurt the company, but I feel like it's better to take the damage on your own terms and allow the viewers to have closure, than to leave everything vague where the flames can go out of control.

If they already considered leaving before renewing contracts, I highly doubt they'd get new model/model update to begin. Like what's the point of dumping all the money into making a whole new model if Vesper's already thinking of to use it just for one stream?
