wait.... kogasa is already the antropomorphization of the umbrella. how can you anthropomorphize what's already been anthropomorphized? i don't.... *brain collapsing. system error*
i'm actually ok with the pic. it just felt weird to have an ao usagi pic where no one commented that their head was being messed with.

The reason is as JakeBob said

and the blatant denial that we understand it terrifies some
In Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Stands represent their user's latent psychic powers that are manifested through their wills, and sometimes at birth. In that sense, a Stand is essentially a fighting astral projection of its user with unique abilities and a form different from any other Stand, as no two people can be perfectly alike either. Not even clones or twins would share the same Stand, by theory.
Therefore, we can apply this logic to say that Kogasa is the Stand of her umbrella (objects and animals can possess Stands as well, often different in function from the Stands of people). Vice-versa, the umbrella could be a Stand of Kogasa, as exampled by the Stand Beach Boy which took the form of a fishing rod for its user rather than a humanoid/monstrous form.
Hopefully this will solve everything forever about Kogasa. Either she is a Stand of an umbrella (which is technically more canon than anything) or the umbrella is her own Stand as a karakasa spirit.
you know i just noticed why zun made kogasa blue because he wanted her to have 1 eye without her really having 1 i think aoi usagi should have done that but......then it would not be him
I'm tempted to add the dual_persona tag, since it's generally assumed that the umbrella and the girl are the same entity. But then again, it's not officially stated, is it?
