Xanatos could put together a plot that would fill one movie or episode and make it work. Like, one episode's plot involved a cauldron that would make him immortal. Well, that didn't work out for him very well. However, in another episode, he later turned that same cauldron into a cage for a coyote spirit, making the most of his loss.
Aizen and other anime ilk are just posers. They got the smug jerk thing down pact, but otherwise they sit around doing nothing until it's time to kick the protagonists around.
so very true. Even people taking Xanatos' plots were successful, because his plans were that good.
not to mention the huge balls it takes to pull the things he did against beings that are absolutely beyond his league, and he still getting the upper hand with little effort.
There are several such characters superior to Aizen, but apparently some fanboy took offence to us talking about the king of them all, Xanatos. There is a reason complex plans are called Xanatos Gambits, not Aizen Gambits.
At least Kubo's attempts to stretch things out aren't as bad as Kishimoto's.
KindlyAnon said: Awesome. I'm still torn as to whether Aizen's more of a magnificent bastard than Xanatos, or if Kubo's just arbitrarily dragging things out.
At first it was Column A. But as we got futher along in the story, and Fridge Logic started going, it became the latter.
