You wanna know the scariest thing? Giygas' last form, though distorted, it creates the outline of a baby-fetus. In this point of the game, Giygas is only in his infant stages. So to beat the game, you have to go back in time, and pray to abort the baby Giygas.

If fan theory were fact just because it kind of makes sense, Touhou would be even more ridiculous than it already is.

Well I have no idea where people got the whole "its a fetus!" idea but the second part is more or less true. Don't forget, the whole idea is that Giygas becomes too powerful in the future so you have to travel into the past to kill him before 'powers up'.
Touhou fan theory simply doesn't make sense cause Zun occasionally comes out and flat-out denies portions of it from time to time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Giygas traveled back in time, hence being at his "adult" or "strongest" state. It'd be highly unlikely for what Pokey/Porky says during the final battle to be true if Giygas was still an infant. Not to mention as an infant he'd have no motive to invade Earth as the events of Mother1 hadn't happened yet. But then again, I actually beat the game as a kid, and still have the cartridge.

That's partially correct as well. The whole game pretty much is a circular race with you going back in time to stop Giygas before he gets powerful enough to go back in time to prevent anyone from stopping him by going back in time to stop Giygas before he gets powerful enough to go back in time to prevent anyone from stopping him by going back in time to stop Giygas before he gets powerful enough to go back in time to prevent anyone from stopping him by going back in time to stop Giygas before he gets powerful enough to go back in time to prevent anyone from stopping him...

He also does like to incorporate parts of it into it. So it works out in the end.
I wonder if people with the whole "fetus" theory realize that giygas was alive a looong time ago. Kinda, you know, was killed in Mother 1. I can give them an idea of rebirth, but people treat it way too much like he's actually being born then.
Of course, this is coming from when the picture distorts. It's basically a case of "Say something, then people mistakingly see it themselves due to assumption". Just like all the "songs going backwards meaning something" BS. I'm pretty sure I can catch a very loose image of a carrot or a dog in there if I tried
