i'm a little confused here. because in the pokemon special comic green/gary/blue's name is green, but in this picture they are refering to the game. so shouldn't Gary/Green/Blue be refered to the name blue?
In Japan, the first two versions released were Red and Green. Blue was a third version that came out later, then Yellow. In the US, Red and Blue were released, then Yellow, but not Green. That's why the GBA remakes were FireRed and LeafGreen.
If what I read was right, our Red & Blue were modifications of the Japanese Blue version, itself modified from the Red & Green versions. Basically, big bring-over clusterfuck that's been rectified a tad with those remakes. Now all that's needed is to get HG & SS over here to see what they name Oak's grandson (and Koga's daughter).
