80s Style Kagami
If Lucky Star was made in the 80s, what would it look like? Well, here's my guess for Hiiragi Kagami. The plot and storyline would be quite different from the current series- probably with more action- and it looks like Kagami has just spotted one of those differences.
You'll note that Kagami has a sports walkman- that's because Tsukasa has a habit of borrowing hers (because Tukasa broke her own one), so she needs a durable walkman just in case.
I've already drawn one of Konata, if you'd like to check it out:

There's a lot that's different between modern designs and 80s ones, but it goes beyond just the outer shapes. The fundamental construction is different, which means that you have to take the look right from the base and build it up, otherwise it won't look right. As a result, I checked with a bunch of characters from the 80s to get this right. I was careful to avoid any resemblance to Quess Paraya, because I hate that character. Maximum annoyance. Also, she's too late in the eighties. To match with Konata, Kagami needs a 84-85-86 design.
I drew this in OpenCanvas, and used my Haruhi Figma to help with the pose.
