Fawriel said: Great work on the translator's part! The line "Yo what the hell!" is just... perfect.
I always thought the way it was before the correction was alright (the same without the "!"), especially with the face and how the karaagetarou comics play out.
That translator's note... when I first read it, it made Akyuu's apparent crush on Mokou in the preceding pages a bit weird. But then I considered: Akyuu meets Mokou and feels drawn to her, but doesn't know why, so she assumes it's a crush... but then Mokou says that, and it clicks... and, troll that she is, Akyuu still gets a lot less flirty with Mokou after this page.
......I guess you're right.I like books like th-Oh, wait a minute.Oh, did you hear something!!?Anyway! The future life of Mokou-tan!I'll be watching over it through generations from now, you got it?If you live clumsily, I'll be recording it!It ain't your business! Who're you, my mom!!?Aha.If I add in Eientei to the mix and make them full of gossip, love and hate, drama and lesbians, they might sell more…That sounds good!Yo what the hell!Hold o—don't say such scary things! Also, I think you'll sound more feminine if you adopt a more proper way of speech.Your mom! ♪
According to some historians, Hieda no Are (An actual historical figure, and Akyuu’s ancestor) may be another name of Fujiwara no Fuhito (An actual historical figure, supposedly the model of one of the five suitors of Kaguya in “Tale of Bamboo Cutter.”) who in turn, is speculated by many to be the identity of Mokou’s father. Thus, in effect, Akyuu is “Mokou's mother”.
