Whoa, don't get so worked up. I'm sorry, let me explain myself.
Naruto is a good series. I just personally feel it tends to overshadow other series that I feel have a lot more going on, such as:
-Bleach, which I feel has more exciting fight scenes and a more interesting premise. -One Piece, which I feel has a deeper storyline, more appealing themes, and more creative character abilities. -Full Metal Alchemist, which I feel is more attractively animated, has a more unique premise, and is not degrading to women like most anime. It also shows that women CAN write awesome shounen, but that's more of a personal bias of mine, so it doesn't fully count.
Naruto has countless moments of pure, unadulterated awesome-ness, but I feel that a lot of the fight scenes are just characters standing around or talking while watching from the sidelines. The moments of awesome-ness outweigh this, but the "standing around moments" are still there, and I feel are hard to ignore.
My point is that I feel Naruto is very, very good. But I also feel it is incredibly overrated, and not quite as good as most people say it is. Still very good, just not as good as the hype and fanbase would suggest.
That's my personal opinion. It's not fact, and I'm not saying it's fact. It's just what I personally believe.
Nononono... OrigamiChimera, your opinion was made entirely clear, and I actually agree with you there. But you didn't aswer the question.
HOW is the fact the guy being named after something from Naruto a negative? How does a nickname/artistic name turns into soemthing negative by being inspire from Naruto?
That was the question. Not why you think the Naruto series is not a positive thing.
And let's not get so off the track. The picture is really good.
Ok.. just stop discussing about Naruto or whatever animate you like. The name Samehada was inspired by a character in FF11 called "white shark," and he added some other elements to it so it becomes Kansousamehada. Instead of bothering him on his name, you guys should enjoy and pay some attention on his art works.
ps: I knew this guy personally so I know what I'm talking about.
