Expecting some sort of twist to keep this from being a completely positive ending. I suppose that if she's already been replaced by the other Giant Otters there would be a bit of awkwardness, but considering their overall turnover it shouldn't be too big a deal (I mean, what happened with the extras/survivors during the big fight with A!Otter a while back?).
Wah, this is so cute, I'm gonna tear up. I can't handle how wholesome and tender this scene is but I just know abubu is gonna do something to ruin it and I really don't want that. These two look so relaxed together in the last panel too. Please no abubu! Don't hurt Mask anymore!
This is the origin story of that rogue otter, isn't it.
It's hard to tell at this point. Anomalous Giant Otter has a laser focus on wiping out the 'normal' Giant Otters, but we have no way of knowing exactly why. The Otters themselves are rather accepting of casualties so long as someone remains to clone more of them. So far, (this) Mask hasn't experienced anything that would seemingly drive them to want all the other Otters dead as a whole. She got caught in an anomaly, yes, but frankly that happens regularly enough that it's just a known consequence of exploring the building, hence the cloning. She wasn't betrayed by the others leaving her there; heck, they even left her a rat bottle and food before they left.
Not to say this couldn't be A!Otter's origin, but still, it doesn't look like it to me unless something goes really wrong with her escape from the pictures to drive her to genocidal levels.

A!Otter is technically the victim of a self-fulfilling prophecy. A time-loop/paradox that is resolved when she dies. She saw her ending and she knows it will be at the hands of the other otters. And all the otters know it as well, though they probably can't be sure it's the result of time-travel, given the nature of the place with all of it's oddities that could possibly explain it.
Paradoxes drive people crazy. It's a common enough trope.

This anomaly seems to corrupt people as seen with the three Friends that got trapped. We saw the corpse of one of them when Mask arrived and the other two became greedy and presumably murderous. Scavenger-chan further implied that they killed each other one by one. Current theory is that the same will happen to Mask.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if there's more to Scavenger-chan saying "Don't fall over anymore". The verb used is 転ぶ which means falling/tumbling but a similar verb with the same character can also mean to turn out/change. Mask by the stream sobbing could be hinting that she's starting to change.
Another theory: The device that A!Otter carries may have been found by Scavenger-chan

Is this the next next?
That's right!
You understood before I said anything.
