I /love/ how people are complaining about a comic that a person does in their spare time. Come on people, it's not like she's getting paid to do these, have a little compassion.

Kaito is not "disliked," per se...more like he has been designated (and accepted) as the abused, doormat character by a major portion of the fandom. I'd say most fans who support or accept this depiction of Kaito actually do like him...it's just that they like this concept of this cool-looking, prince-like character whose personality and behavior don't match up with his appearance at all. Kaito has been commonly depicted as a flasher (wearing nothing but his muffler and two star stickers), a pervert (Miku or Len is usually the victim), or simply a super masochist who enjoys the domestic abuse.

to put it simply, he's bullied and only truly deserves it half the time.
It actually just started with him originally getting low sales, so he was originally a failure. Obviously people have warmed up to him more now. http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/Kaito
