The background is a Russian Empire newspaper page, filled with various advertisements; one of them is available on the internet, so I was able to dig it up, unlike the rest of the sheet. Yes, these are real and genuine. The rest is filled with postage stamps (the paper and ink ones in the upper part) from USSR; the central ones (red-blue-green) are real as well, so it's a weird mix of two eras.
