Okay...I read the story it linked to, and to put it shortly, it's a rage drug that a Chinese fox god gave to a violently domestic-abused husband so that he'd gain the mental strength needed to beat the crap out of his evil wife (who had tried to murder him and did murder his brother) to make her repent. It's pretty odd morally, even considering Qing dynasty Chinese morals.
