Quick look at the skills, Odogaran is a good crit build and probably among the best sets to forge as the entry to High-Rank, if you can handle the murder pup. The skills on it will be helpful no matter what you're fighting.
Vaal Hazaak looks insanely good because it flat-out provides a massive attack boost, BUT you need to be at full health to receive it. I would say it's definitely more of an advanced set in terms of use. Fortunately, it also aids in you in keeping your health at max so you can receive the boosts with all the recovery boosting skills stacked on it.
The Xeno set... doesn't really look all that impressive, aside from protecting against knockback.
It does have that really cool undead king/queen look. Plus the Vaal Hazak armor set skill basically gives you infinite health along with the ability to heal over time very quickly. Use an Immunizer and you'll heal so quick you won't even need to use actual heals.

Yep, that's why Vaal Hazak is my main set, on PC. I was mostly referring to looks though.
Xeno's Spare Shot is good if you only use one ammo type (eg slicing). It also has the highest defense rating.
Xeno's armour is the best to make while working on the Empress Cannon -Styx- or the LBG version, then switch to Vaal upper (Head/Chest/Arms), Nergi or Kulve Coil, and Kirin legs (Free Element/Shot+, to get the extra shots for more Spare shot chances).
Unfortunately, MR blows that away, since the first few monsters are strong enough to almost outright oneshot you through Armourcharm and Talon, if you don't have maximum healthbar size and take Armordrug. (FCK Barioth. >:V)
