I have a 3M respirator in the same style as the one Nitori is using, although I usually use P100 filter cartridges (with the magenta casings). If the air quality is that unhealthy, she should probably be using P100s as well!

That's 3m 6000, it is a neat thing, but we are issued with 6059 cartridges. I'm working in iron pellet burning department and air in there is polluted with dust and sulfur oxides. Some people came up with wrapping cartridges with modern variations of ShB "Petal" antidust wraps. And we do have 3M 9312's (the "ladies pads") - they are best antidust wraps, but with rather mediocre comfort.

3M makes N95 and P95 pre-filters that go over the 6000-series cartridges using a retainer cap. Have you tried those?
No, but I'd like to - as I said, all stuff is issued by employer. We do "cheap" way - improvised wraps on filters outlasts cartridges themselves - sulfur itself does it's job eating through filter faster than outer wrap wears or became too dirty, but filters ain't getting clogged and "sniffed" too fast. Well, my job doesn't require to be in hazardous areas on the whole shift, so there's always a couple of leftover dustwraps.
EhCease the operation of the factory immediately.Chapter of the Scarlet Mist IncidentWe explained it to you before, have we not? According to the Article 06 of the Gensokyo Environment Conditioning Special Law,Remilia, this is the third time this day.If the measures repeatedly exceed the standards, after the third warning the factory is forcibly nationalized into a public organization...Then I'll take it from here. The red dust measures far exceed the standards.
Probably a reference to the microparticle problem caused by Chinese manufacturing that plagues the Korean peninsula
