Even if that worked on Psycho mantis, would it work for Satori?

Psycho Mantis's problem was that other people's thoughts eventually warped his own mind. It was by wearing the gas mask that it would block out some of those thoughts which helped him to maintain his own identity. In Satori's case it would help to block out thoughts, but it would make her useless in combat since most of her attacks consists of copying other people's attacks via mind reading. That said, as soon as Satori would take the mask off to fight, cue the naughty thoughts, and watch the fun begin. :)

Trying beat Satori by thinking naughty thoughts probably wouldn't work. Satori has been reading minds her whole life, so she's probably used to such things by now.

Wouldn't she does need a mask for her third eye? Or does it work via all three eyes?

One of the more serious comics set in a sci-fi/fantasy version of Touhou has Satori with special glasses so she can't read the hearts of others. It does lead to her not understanding the meaning behind a crowd chanting "Fifth Grade Loli", thinking its some sort of moral boosting cheer until her staff lets her in on what it means.
