This reminds me of a manga series about a girl and her completely normal black cat, only that one wasn't quite as bloody, at least not to the same degree.
The only other thing I remember is that the cat couldn't cross chalk, or something like that.
Although, if Yuppy can brainwash people, why bother killing the mother? Surely, someone acting odd is better cover than a murder that begs investigation. Yeah, food, I guess, but that's still pissing in your own drinking well.
Honestly, the girl is running off youkai logic at this point. The man-eating type. I would not look for human commonsense in her actions anymore.
I meant Yuppy, since obviously, Yuppy is the one calling the shots. I figure the girl was brain-poked just like Kana-chan before the start of the sequence, and that's why she only sees "cute kitty!" instead of tentacle monster.
I don't think Yuppy has direct control over the girl. The girl is doing the narration, so she at least has some level of independent thought. I think it's more like Yuppy put certain directives into her head like "Yuppy is cute" "Take care of Yuppy" "Don't think anything is out of the ordinary".
In any case, the girl went around and showed Yuppy to everyone at the first opportunity. If Yuppy is directly controlling her, then Yuppy is clearly not one for stealth.
At last, it seems like Kana-chan understood that Yuppy is cute.Come by to play again, okay? It's night, so I go look for dinner for Yuppy.Having Kana-chan for dinner would have been okayBut lately, Yuppy has been eating a lot, so something bigger would be better.Yuppy is really cute.
