Curious question - how is Reimu saying "I love you"? Is she saying it like 'sukidesu' or 'daisuki', or something like 'aieshiteru'? It also seems that while Yukari says it twice in the first panel, she is saying it in two different ways. I can't read the characters, but I know there is a great deal of difference in significance in the way it is expressed, based on how it is said. I humbly and thankfully request any assistance that can be offered in better understanding this lovely moment between these two.
The first time Yukari says it she uses the kanji for like and the second time she uses only hiragana. When Reimu says it she uses katakana. They both simply use the word 'suki'.
Well…And they're too embarrassing to use...Even if they're pretty words, if you say them trivially they'll become trivial.Even if I don't say them, a Youkai like you should be able to read my heart anyway.HEY, REIMU, SAY THAT AGAIN RIGHT NOW!Well, there's nothing I can't read, but isn't that a bit boring? The feelings of a girl reaching adulthood can change by the second. And...That's right.Hm?I love you.Say it right now or I'll volcano! What do you mean, volcano?!I'd be glad if you were able to properly put your feelings to words. No! No matter what, I'll never say it again!I love you~Don't you like them? You know, you don't really ever say that kind of thing…I love you, Reimu~Yukari? How can you say such embarrassing words so nonchalantly?
