Because a stalker and abusive mother certainly does make for the ideal marriage partner, huh?
Some guys like to be stalked, apparently. (Especially by a woman in a bodystocking...) She's consistently one of the most popular characters in Awakening and the entire series, and just won a voting gauntlet AGAIN.

I know full well of her popularity. On one hand, I'm not surprised, because she's literally walking fanservice, and there are people who either like yandere or have a full-blown fetish for them. Not judging, I should add. On the other hand, it baffles me how a character as shallow as her has attained this much popularity.
And don't get me started on her second Gauntlet victory.

Well, it's not like that many characters outside of the main ones have all that depth much beyond being an archetype. Spoken lines-wise, she has more than most Fire Emblem characters, if only thanks to the conversation system being much more robust in this generation than previous ones. (And Marth remains popular in spite of it all...)
As for the Gauntlet, well, I went with her army in the final round just because I had a Tharja and didn't have a Sigurd, so hey, +10% bonus votes. I otherwise always back the most drastic underdogs just so I get the most vote bonuses possible. (And the Gauntlet is so totally unrepresentative of actual popularity or merit anyway, that I stand about a 1 out of 3 chance of winning even backing someone who would lose 4-to-1 in a fair popularity contest.)
Basically, which character's face is pasted on the "team" that gets the most points is totally meaningless BS that has no effect on anything, anyway, so just focus on the thing that actually matters: Getting shit tons of feathers by placing in the top brackets for backing the underdogs! (I managed to haul in over 10,000 feathers this time, and was in the top 1000 for the first bracket and in the top 5000 for the second and overall - I actually managed to get up to 26th place before sliding back down to 400 and somethingth because I cashed in early just to be safe.)
