Do you have a (faded) full moon near the sun? It’s either a half moon or they’re on opposite sides of the sky, right?
Yeah, it's pretty rare for it to be full but it does happen.
I’d love to see a photo of that, because for a full moon, it has to be pretty much on the opposite side of the Earth. Sun and Moon being close to each other on the sky is what happens during new moon.
