Ah, but it is. It's an exceptionally good one, too. I think the changed angle definitely aids the illusion, but there are a number of differences to find in the image if you look for them. If you extend a line from the base of the pipe, it helps expose some of the imperfections in the artist's technique as far as proportions go. There are a few other things to notice that are missing or added, for example the branches I circled in both images. The greenery in the scenery is a bit off. If I want to be even more pedantic, some of the lighting is a bit off on the water as far as exact brush strokes go, and if you look carefully at the eyes Kantoku's eyes are slightly more round and the outline more thick.
