I gotta say, the amount of art for new Kantais has dropped drastically in 2017.
They used to get 3-500 posts in the 1st month of being announced. Now, most of the ones here have been out for a while and still haven't cracked 100 good posts.
Expect most new IJN destroyers to have very little posts, because many have considered them "trophies" and not interesting, unless their design are pretty attractive (Hatakaze) or they have something unique to make jokes out of (Amagiri and her abs).
Richelieu having little posts here is a surprise tho
The chart doesn't have GBF tho?

I'm more concerned about touhou's downswing
Me too. Seems like the recent newer series are dividing the usual Touhou artists away
Before the great ship jump that dethroned Touhou, Touhou was in a similar spot; the casts of newer games being relatively ignored because everyone was set in their EoSD/PCB/IN ways. What you're seeing here are the first grey hairs of the KanColle fandom.
That's only Comiket, though. That doesn't take into account Reitaisai or the rest of the Touhou-centric convention circuit. Touhou isn't going to be in any serious trouble any time soon.
