Pretty sure athletes on the level of Michael Phelps would just burn all that off.
Anyway, Iowa makes me proud. And sad.
I've always wondered about the long term consequences of that kind of life. A big, strong person with a physically demanding lifestyle (military, body builder, strength trainer), operates on 5000kcal at best, and that's very hard work on its own. I would think running your body at the kind of superhuman levels that Olympic competitors claim to operate at would cause some kind of physical burn leading to problems later in life.
Or not. Super athletes also use very calculated nutrition formulas and diet schedules for strength and stamina development; it's not just calories per day. So maybe that makes it work?

Well, you can check this channel for example. You can see the fitness trainer transformation in less than 3 years of activity... or reduction from it while probably still eating the same.
There is also the thing that who knows what they put in their food that, while successful in young adulthood, their children pay the price with rare syndromes or learning difficulties. The second Sonya Blade comes to mind.
Do not worry, for someone who produces high output (212,000 shp for the real battleship), this much of food (fuel) is required.
That logic also works in the context of the game's mechanics. Iowa is the Bauxite Queen of the fast battleships, eating as much as two Kongo sisters.
16,600 Calories in one meal. I'm not sure you can get more America than that, until and unless DMM take a page out of the WOWS playbook and add the never-built Montana to the game (which would then open up a new can of worms in the form of battlecruisers Tosa and Amagi, and 15 new Shimakaze-class destroyers)

A modern 49k ton battleship capable of making 35 knots for extended periods of time at 212k hp vs an antique 32k ton battlecruiser barely capable of making 30 knots at 136k hp, it really ain't surprising that Iowa requires shitload of more resources to field.

If Graf Zeppelin&Aquila could make it in then BB Tosa and CC Amagi appearing in KC isn't really that far-fetched of an idea.

I remember looking up information on Medieval peasant diets, and basically, the average peasant would burn something like 4000-5000 kcal a day. They ate plenty of bread and anything fatty or sugary they could get just to keep up with the energy demands of a lifestyle involving having to fell and split your own firewood by hand. (That's kind of the source of the craving for nigh-unlimited fatty and sugary foods instead of humanity evolving constraint. It's only the modern lifestyle with convenient tools to drastically reduce the needed (human) calories for virtually all forms of work that cause a problem.)

I do recall something about how frequent marathon runners tend to die earlier, or something. It's not all that surprising. There's healthy exercise, and then there's the insane amount of strain put on the body by something like a marathon.

Well according to some autopsy studies done of sudden death in marathoners, the issue basically comes down to their hearts. Because they're doing so much constantly it's straining their hearts and causing them to actually accumalate scar tissue as the muscle cells get damaged from being worked so much. Unfortunately scar tissue doesn't function as well as normal tissue so what's left is forced to work harder so you get the healthy cells becoming more apt to be damaged again. It's a really bad cycle to be in and that's why supposedly the amount of scar tissue in the elite marathoners examined had a LOT more scar tissue than expected for their age cohort.

But Graf Zeppelin, and even more Aquila, were quite close to completion. Aquila in particular was close to ready for sea trials, and her air wing was being prepared.
Probably you haven't noticed before, but big breasted anime girls are the politically correct version of fat people. It's just fat distributed in a different place with the exact same issues morbid obese people have (worry about weight, can't see feet, extreme sweating underneath, exercise jiggling problems, etc.). :P

Remember not to say fat people about that.
These, too, are fast-acting calorific foods.
And what's more, with the addition of a mega-sized sundae, any nutritional balance ceases to exist.Aaand... done. But even with all that considered, she's able to resupply herself to such an extent immediately before a sortie. And then in the oversized Tupperware - a bacon/cheese roll and pizza burger. That's quite something, isn't it.It's bad for your body - no way!!She's gonna die!Hey, hey, hey...Well now, a PB&C, is it...?The "PB&C" shake sold by Cold Stone Creamery has an exceedingly high amount of calories. There are even some experts who claim it's hazardous to drink on a regular basis. Not that I care, though...I'm getting heartburn just looking at her.Her stomach is structured differently from Japanese - that's all there is to it.
