Eh, the previous few Wendy images in the pool provide context.
A pool for images that reflect current events in the world.
Within each post, a link and/or an explanation should be provided so that the context can be understood.
Sorry, I got a little fired up because of the potato shortage (same case). If someone feels smart enough to add something to current events, a little context doesn't hurt.

When a bunch of images referencing the same event are added to this pool, some of them have an explanation in either the artist's commentary or the Danbooru comments, and some don't. The ones that don't usually have comments saying to look at other images close by (either on the same page in the pool or +/-1 page)
Some events in this pool become memetic enough to warrant a tag (e.g. Ecce Homo). They'll usually have an explanation in their wiki.
And in this case, a link to a detailed explanation has already been provided.
Anyone know why there is a surge in "Smug Wendy's" all of a sudden? I thought their twitter shenanigans was a couple years ago? Not that I am complaining. I do like the smug.

It started up again. Mocking Hardee's and their 4 for 4 combo which they started doing after Wendy's introduced that combo at some of their establishments. Hardee's responded by blocking them.

Ah nice. That explains the "they blocked us, lol" quotes I have been seeing. Its an effective campaign because I haven't gone to a Wendy's for years except for their chili but now I want to eat their strange square burgers.

You live in Japan? My condolences for not being able to enjoy potato chips.
No, I don't. And that's exactly the reason I requested some context. Not everyone lives in Japan or USA to know the local news of a Twitter account or the weather from Hokkaido.
