Man, this image would be more cool if the girls don't showing their asses
If you need a image to be popular it needs something who call the general attention. (Exposure, Close ups to breast, ass and thighs, don't forget the pantyshots, the other parts are irrelevant because general people forget they exist and how to use it, even when they have excelent details, here in danbooru those images are deleted thanks of our wikipedia's body analyst)
But more importantly, the image could be good in two ways: Firstly, without the girls and with the sunken ships in the background or with the girls in a close up showing their asses. Combined it feels like any of the two ideas loses relevance.

Is this a bash against people who are flagging or is it a bash against Janitors?

Yeah, m8, I agree with you. Honestly, for me, this image would be much better if the girls just staring into the ocean without the ships. Yet, the artist drawn the wrecked ships, which I think give this image a deeper meaning rather than just "LOOK AT THOSE ASSES" and incidentally, the girls themselves ruining this image.......
And here's me coming in many years later to say that I love the juxtaposition here. Who the hell said horny and serious things aren't allowed to co-exist? As a creative I've struggled for a long time to come to terms with the fact that I want both, and trying to separate them and only write about 'serious important topics' or 'horny nonsense with no meaning' both bores the absolute life out of me. Maybe I can do it for a bit, but I want both, and I want both simultaneously sometimes.
Personally, I don't see this as particularly horny in the first place, and the fact that people see this as a "juxtaposition" itself gives the piece a deeper meaning. Like, they're just wearing swimsuits, in styles that are pretty normal in today's fashion, and while standing near the shoreline, which is a place where it is completely appropriate to be wearing a swimsuit. Would people be reacting the same way if it were five dudes in swim trunks looking at the wrecks and the sunset? Or do commenters on this site see women's bodies as inherently horny and therefore out of place in a "serious" context?
