Are hard translations not allowed? I like doing them to share elsewhere, so I figured I share it here, as well. And if we're talking about a NEED, why is there a NEED for two identical versions (one from twitter and one from pixiv), but a hard translated one (which isn't identical) is somehow "too much"?
Hard translations, like most other 3rd party edits, are "generally not recommended unless a better copy cannot be found", as per the terms of service and the wiki.
Danbooru is not a website for you to share 3rd party edits just because "you like doing them" and sharing them with others. We are not tumblr or Deviantart, and such hard translations is especially redundant since we already have a soft-translation system implemented here. This goes double IF you poached the translation from the soft-translation notes here in the first place.
As for the Pixiv and Twitter versions, well, they ARE NOT identical. Twitter employs a compression alogorithm which reduces the quality of the image (note the different file sizes). The Twitter version was uploaded first before the 'superior' (higher fidelity) Pixiv version. In cases like this Danbooru's policy is to parent the earlier lower quality version to the later higher quality version instead of deleting the former, to avoid 'penalizing' the previous uploader. See topic #11528 for further discussion as to why.
