Is this really East meets West? Headmasters was Japanese-made and Japanese continuity.
Everything Transformers related is a bit of a grey area when it comes to East Meets West, since the franchise as a whole is kinda both American and Japanese at the same time, since it's the result of a partnership between Hasbro and TakaraTomy, and it kinda wears both its Japanese and American influences on its sleeve. Plus, even though The Headmasters is Japanese, the Headmasters also appeared in the American version of the cartoon... you know, the last three episodes that didn't air in Japan because they wanted to do The Headmasters instead.
In any case, this could very well be the modern Hardhead from the Titans Return line, which separates it a little from The Headmasters.
So, yeah. Transformers is weird. You could make the case that the entire friggin' tag belongs in East Meets West. I'd disagree, but you could make it.
I wonder if Hardhead is a separate being or simply Nona's transtector. I doubt the artist really elaborated on that, but I still feel like someone here is nerdy enough to contemplate the question.
