That's more like it. It's hard to win without taking the south route, doing otherwise will lead to less fuel and ammo (less evasion and firepower) if you manage to reach the boss. It doesn't help each node route is random. If you want that Prototype Flight Deck Catapult quest, you better pray RNG sends you to the south route AND you get a S rank. But for now it's all "rush to 3-2 so you can greatly level your ships with less buckets".
I wonder how his non-Murakumo destroyers are doing with the expeditions... If he's still early in the game, that's a LOT of heavily damaged capital ships to repair...

I don't really get all that "spam 3-2-A ad nauseum". Your girls will lose all morale in 2-3 sorties, so you should swap them all the time, which is horribly dull.

That's why you use your whole 4 fleets to lessen the pain of switching. The priority ship to level up is your flagship position which is the only one who gets switched every sortie, while the rest of your fleet benefit from slower leveling up. Meanwhile with a proper setup, the only damaged ship will be the unremodel submarine (the punching bag) who takes less than 30 minutes to repair depending on her level. Every 3-2A sortie takes around 3 minutes, by 4 times it's 12 minutes per cycling. Adding to the submarine repair times it's long enough for morale to recover.
Long story short, this map is really versatile because you can level all kinds of ships and the only thing slowing you down are the submarine repairs.

Also, to add to what others are saying, your flagship if taken to the max Morale before hand from 1-1 (I believe around 75-80 without the use of Mamiya) it will literally take like 30 minutes just for her to get back down to like 40 morale, to which case, you can spam 1-1 again.
So with the Submarine Punching bag and your main flagship you want to grind, there is no reason you shouldn't be spamming 3-2.

Well I tried to organise hardcore 3-2-a nonstop running a couple of times, almost lost my mind as a result. I think I better go clear some 4-1, 4-2 or 4-3.

Why not just stick in a carrier and a battleship and have everyone else use the accuracy cut-in? That way the only ships you'll have to swap is the maruyus, and if the repair time is taking too long just send ro to 2-3 once or twice before going back to 3-2.
