If they didn't do it with Chikorita or Fennekin, they're not gonna change it now.
Can't say that they look ehm "overly feminine". There is even a big discussion going on since Brionne looks too feminine. I wouldn't sax it is unlikely, but the developers probably don't want that the gamers are getting an "easy too breed" Starter. So yeah...

That and can't do much with its starter ability. It's better to wait to check out its hidden ability.

If you don't think the Fennekin line looks feminine, you should really look at Pokken's Braixen where the playable Braixen is full on magical girl.

*looks @ Delphox, then back @ you* While it could be argued that Delphox is more 'wizard robe' than 'flowing dress', between the way Braixen's fur was sculpted into a sort-of skirt and how both their ear-tufts (that is, both Braixen's and Delphox's) evoke some form of twintails, it's a bit hard to not see the Fennekin line as feminine.
That said, I'm honestly rather glad to see Brionne be a blatantly, undeniably feminine evolution line for a starter; it's a refreshing twist on the old formula (let's face it, Water starters have been MANLY the whole way through -- turtle with SHOULDER CANNONS, super-angry CROCODILE, mudfish with MUSCLES, elegant ICE-CUTTING EMPEROR penguin, SAMURAI walrus, NINJA frog with WATER SHURIKEN), and as a bonus it leaves us wondering if the leaks from a while back are true or if they're just slightly off the mark.
