And suddenly Graf shows she DOES have a cute side, and isn't just a cold Nazi in this artist's works...
Although I HAVE always wondered at why Ro-chan is shown as so much more lackadaisical than Yu-chan... I mean, I get that the image of Germans, and Nazis in particular, was to be uber-strict and disciplined, but is that what the Japanese think of their own navy? That it's just a ragtag band of misfits and half-NEETs like Hatsuyuki? Because that's the implication of making every foreign shipgirl that comes by become a kotatsu-hugging slacker... (Well, except for the Italians, but then again, making the Italians stay the same when they were notoriously poorly-trained and coordinated kind of makes the same argument, doesn't it?)
Not trying to be offensive, but I think you have better chances making your own plot and manga. Doing long essays on every 4koma about character analysis and plot behavior, apart from unproductive, won't make a change into the original author ideas or our own point of view.
Now if you have a lot free time looking for pats on the back nor doing a serious thesis for college, be my guest. :P
