well...i've seen it alot in ke-ta's pictures but i don't question it because i think it's just artist preference. but now i see another artist make the same thing so i'm just kind of curious.
A quick google image search shows that no, they're not suppose to have slits on them like that. Completely defeats the purpose of them.
Artists choose to put them there because they're perverts.

Well, it's understandable since Danbooru uses the term "drawers" only for the furniture. However, if you look closely at bloomers wiki page, you can see that the pixiv tag equivalent is ドロワーズ (Dorowāzu), drawers.
