Operation Crossroad when Nagamon was bombed by 2 nukes I guess
I know there's a tag for Operation Crossroads, but is there a tag for historical references in general? The latter would probably be more appropriate for this image than the former.

The closest is a pool for the Operation Crossroads gang. However, to qualify for that pool would require Prinz and Sakawa to be in the picture as well.
Edit: Oh, wait. It's now a tag. Makes things much easier.

The operation_crossroads tag. It's for images referencing the military operation in which several ships were nuked entirely for the purpose of determining the effects of nuclear weapons on warships, and was in no way a ceremonial execution of the IJN Nagato for being both the flagship of the Pearl Harbor attack and a little too big for the economically feasible construction of a gallows.
The tag is, in my opinion, not relevant to this picture despite the reference to the operation -- not because of the absence of Prinz and Sakawa, but because Nagato isn't actually getting nuked.
