Well, this is the official art from the anime. And therefore, its drawn in the same style as the anime.
So, is not drawn by Mishima (the light novel illustrator). You can see a drawn by her on post #3063625. You'll notice the superior quality. That one is official art too, but is offical art from the light novel.
Keep in mind that since Anime is, well, animated, it just can't have draws as detailed as the cover of a light novel or manga.

(Two year necrobump, etc. etc.)
Deen's art is still a cut below most other other studios (not just, say, KyoAni), even when they're all doing LN adaptations. Especially if Kikuta's leading the helm (saggy boobs, saggy boobs everywhere!).
Still, Deen did a lot of work in making the Konosuba anime such a success, especially the wacky animation and character interactions, and how they made Kazuma genuinely likeable (unlike the LN version, who hews a bit more closer to other isekai protagonists in terms of having a... detached sense of empathy), so yeah, they did a good job in the end.
Be careful when bumping. Remember that posting a comment on a picture also bumps that picture to the top of the comment page, so don't bump images just to say how disgusting they are or how much you don't want to see them. The 'Post without bumping'-button is there for a reason.
And I didn't say anything of that.
I was just trying to add to the conversation a comparative with the official art from the light novel. That's all.
And, actually I don't think the art of the anime is bad at all; I do think the art from light novel is better, however. And I was talking about the draws themselves; not how the characters were portrayed (I haven't read the novels, so I don't have an opinion on that subject)
Keep in mind that forums have a rule against necrobumping because it bumps to the top topics that potentially are not longer relevant or just don't apply anymore.
In Danbooru, the topic of the comments its the image itself. Therefore, as long the image is present on the site, it makes sense that it can still be considered to be relevant. It makes sense that it does not have an anti-necrobumping rule.
(Btw, I posted this comment using the "No bump" checkbox, so there you have)
