Forget what I said about Rainmaker, this thing was a whole lot harder.
And from what I've seen, this is more of a "alternate reality" than a prequel, where: 1. Wriggle is not youkai 2. Keine always has horns 3. Marisa and Reimu never live together
Cuz' by the time Raimaker happens Wriggle is dead.

Yet another "helluva reading" with sneaked references, li'l details and random silly moments that makes this doujin standing out. Thank you for for share and translations, Stan. I'll give you bonus 20% more thanks and internets than for "Rainmaker". "Rainmaker" was longer though

Actually, there are several lines of dialogue that kinda reveal that this is actually a SEQUEL to RAINMAKER.
For instance, Marisa stating that she has known Reimu for ten years. In Rainmaker, she had known her for seven years.
It's another fanfiction writer that doesn't understand touhou and tries to turn it into something it's not. It's on the same level of someone forcing a Twilight plot into star wars.

OH WAIT, THAT WAS THE PREQUELS.
I'd say that's an apt comparsion.
Personally, I like how plot was unfolding.
I have to admit that there is a lots of artists that don't understand touhou and tries to turn it into something it's not. But me and favcount of that stuff says that people generally don't mind. If most of artist were "understanding" - we could have tons of repeated plot of games and print media from various viewpoints of characters. Also I'd like to make wall-o-pinion but this'll just turn into spinning fans.
P.S.: Yep, me messed up again. P.S.2: I'd watch Twilight plot in star wars if there was proper character set and good actors' play.
