I never understood why people are afraid of moths, I mean I kept a big on as a pet for a while
Because it's a bug..? I think a good deal of people are afraid of bugs of some sort.. I don't particularly afraid of moths, but i'd still swore some mouthful if a moth at that size would face hug me..

All flying insects that looks remotely hairy are terrifying. Imagine a giant flying spider. Yeah, that is absolutely horrifying.
If the day spiders could fly will come in the future, i hope i'm already dead..

Snakes can fly at least, so that's good enough for some.
Most ballooning journeys end after just a few meters of travel, although depending on the spider's mass and posture,[10] a spider might be taken up into a jet stream. The trajectory further depends on the convection air currents and the drag of the silk and parachute to float and travel high up into the upper atmosphere.[11]
Many sailors have reported spiders being caught in their ship's sails, over 1,600 kilometres (990 mi)[12] from land (Heimer 1988). They have even been detected in atmospheric data balloons collecting air samples at slightly less than 5 kilometres (16,000 ft) above sea level.[13] Evidently, it is the most common way for spiders to invade isolated islands and mountaintops.[12][14] Spiderlings are known to survive without food while travelling in air currents of jet streams for 25 days or longer.[2]
I saw a jumping spider once. Since I'm kinda slow with my eyes, whenever the spider jumped, it more looked like she was doing some sort of short-speed teleportation.
Moth always come in my house if I leave the windows open with white light on (lamp or even monitor screen). They certainly surprised me, especially when they suddenly come on my monitor and somehow, I don't like to know that there's one in my room so I always tried to chase it off.
That's why, I always tend to close the windows when night comes but the rest of my family always do as they want and won't close them and so one night, I had something worse than moth, lots of flying ants in the bathroom... No idea when did they come in but dammit I was so scared 'cause those insects react to light and when I only let my monitor on, those things just jump on me in order to reach it.
Also, it was the first time I saw a flying ant (didn't even know that existed).
