Although i rarely feel anything for them heart-breaking pictures (especially those where people lose other people, because it is overused), this one for some reason strikes me, and really makes me wish Seija won at the end. However, while it's sad on Seija's part because she thinks she failed as amanojaku, Sagume gives me the feel that she is actually caring and worrying about her "child", supporting her despite the failure. And i love it.
I'm confused. What was the reason behind Sagumé-- or for that matter, the goddess she was based on-- creating the amanojaku? How does it tie in to DDC? Does ZUN give an answer to either?

It doesn't tie canonically, i was only talking about the picture here, where it's obvious Sagume cares about Seija (they are both considered amanojaku, though).
