I think I would faint or end up in a state very similiar to fainting if I released some sort of blood stream from anywhere without knowing why.
For the survey, I don't really mind donating any amount of blood. I mind having to go to the place to donate, which can be problematic due to my crappy health [cue random stomachache, nausea, etc].
... because it’s pretty hard to find a compatible donor. Please consider registering with a local stem cell donor registry, especially if you belong to a minority in your country. You might save someone’s life.
Well, they basically pummel your kidneys/bladder with the vibrations until the stones shatter into pieces small enough to come out when you go, so this isn't that surprising.
I'm terrified of needles. Even though I do dialysis. How I do it without a panic attack is purely by rote - As soon as the slightest thing goes not according to routine, I start freaking out. For example, they're going to give me a mandatory flu shot at some point in the next couple weeks. Even though the flu shot is minuscule compared to the dialysis needles I'm already getting anxious about it. I still can't watch myself or anyone else getting stabbed.
I have made slight progress though - The sight of needles sitting out used to bother me, now it doesn't. Only took two and a half years of getting stuck 3 times a week. At this rate maybe I'll finally be OK with needles sometime around the death of the sun.
I guess when you have a stone pulverized you piss blood?
Lots of it.
It's because of the stent inserted to make sure your ureter stays wide enough to let all the pieces of the stone pass. The movement of the many tiny pieces of kidney stone aggravates the sensitive ureter, giving you a near constant urge to pee. Basically, you will be going to the bathroom every 10 minutes and pissing nothing but blood for about 3 days.

Ogh, note to self: don't get kidney stones. I don't want to have to pass a sanity check every time I go to the toilet because my bladder is expelling unusual amounts of blood for up to three days.
What the hell is thiiiis!?
Oh, they told me to give them a urinalysis sample...
