There are some pictures about Katsuragi's admiration for Zuikaku. Can someone explain me about that?
It's from her Hourly notification lines. one of them was "It's 10:00 AM! Ah! Zuikaku-senpai! Good work as always!... ah, I was nervous! Well it was Zuikaku-san, the one I admire!"
and "11:00 AM. Eh? What, it's true though! After all it's Zuikaku-san, the one I'm admiring! Isn't that wonderful...! I also like her camouflage, mine also matches hers!"

I see, when Katsuragi_(kantai_collection) was posted there isn't any information about her. (And TY for your translations too)

Yes she is going to be making some glorious unintentional mischief

In addition, it would be technically right for Katsuragi to think of Zuikaku as "Eternal" 1st Carrier Division:
- After the debacle of Midway in mid-1942, Zuikaku, Shoukaku, Zuiho were transferred into 1st Carrier Division.
- Katsuragi was laid down for construction in Dec'42.
- June'44, Battle of Philippine Sea occurs. Massive air and CV losses. Taihou, Shoukaku: Gone. After that battle Zuikaku would then be transferred to 3rd Carrier Division. The Unryuu-class were supposed to make up 1st Carrier Division.
- Katsuragi was completed in October 15, 1944. Zuikaku would be sunk as part of the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 25, 1944.
As far as Katsuragi is concerned, Shoukaku & Zuikaku were "it" for Fleet CVs. When Shoukaku was gone, Zuikaku was the last of the original, big Fleet CVs and a longtime 1st Carrier Division member even though she had transferred to 3rd. The other thing is that since Midway and until the loss of the Crane Sisters in '44, they easily saw the most action. Actually, by the time they went down in '44, they had seen far more combat action than Hiryu, Souryuu, Akagi, Kaga.

Even more amusingly Kaga easily saw the least of any of them and easily performed the worst. Midway was the first time she went into action against a peer foe and she was savaged before accomplishing a thing. She had run into a reef early in the war that damaged her enough to force her to miss the Indian ocean raids. Meaning the sum total of her wartime achievements was bombing defenseless ships are Pearl Harbor, bombing defenseless cites in Northern Australia, then being destroyed in minutes the first time she came against her equals.
In terms of combat record, longevity, and effectiveness the Cranes completely and utterly crushed all other Japanese carriers.

If you look at it from an American perspective, yeah. Sho and Zui sunk two American carriers. Kaga and Akagi: 0. Peak Kaga bullying arrives if they introduce Enterprise and she regards Zui as her rival.

Delicious Kaga tears shall season my dinner if that happens.
Kinda makes me imagine Zuikaku as the shounen protag, Enterprise as the rival/best friend, and Kaga as Zui's love interest who wants to be acknowledged as Enterprise's rival.
W-Well...You're embarrassing me...Eh? No, I'm the 5th CarDiv here, so...I am Katsuragi. From today onwards I'll be assigned here.E-E-Erm...! Thanks for your hard work!*Kaga: Struck from the naval register in 1942.
Katsuragi: Launched in 1944.Agh...Me...?Katsuragi-chan! Can we have a little talk over there? Okay?Awawawa...There's no way!Zuikaku-senpai! You will always be the Eternal 1stCarDiv in my heart!!I came here to follow the footsteps of Zuikaku-senpai from the 1stCarDiv, whom I've always admired!Zuikaku... what's the meaning of this? It's Zuikaku-san, the one I admire...!!Who's that pompous-looking old hag over there?
