*sigh* ANOTHER high school harem anime... #34442 to be exact. I pine for the days, where the anime industry were filled with cartoonists, and not otaku. I'm sorry, but anime as of late, is so stagnant, and so repetitive, that I can literally watch one of these, and I've instantly seen them all. I find western animation more engaging as of late, because those seem to have more nuanced characters, that are not cliches', and have characters, that actually act like human beings, and not cardboard tropes. Take Steven Universe, World of Gumball, Regualr Show, Adventure Time, Legend of Korra, Young Justice, Motorcity, Symbyotic Titan, Rick & Morty, Futurama, & yes, My Little Pony. Those are all good example of good modern western animated shows, done right at the moment, and they are at least very different from each other, in terms of plot, characters, settings, and themes. Anime just looks all the same to me, and no one on this site, can refute me on this. The anime industry is in a complete rut right now, and they are only pandering to a bunch of lonely otaku. Hell, a series can't be turned into an anime these days, unless it has a waifu girl main character, with huge boobs, and doe-eyed innocence. Just my thoughts folks, and i would pretty much would like to have a civil discussion about this.
Harem? Hah. Not only there was no competition, there was barely any romance at all. I was compelled to drop it after ep1, then again around the ep5. I'm very glad I didn't. Dat last episode :3
