It is possible even if Urobutcher didn't directly involve himself with the anime, the anime staff may have asked for some of his ideas or opinion in regards to the story. I mean it's networking.

Admirals loose ships in the game all the time, and the cast in this anime is massive in a scale most animes never handle. Also, the setting is based on a war of attrition, losses are expected.

I'm more concerned that large vocal part of the fandom seems to think he's the only author who can kill characters.
…getting deja vu that I’ve read someone said something like this in other forum.
Urobuchi is not the only author in the world, and well…
W-Island is obviously Wake Island, so possibility was there. Never thought that they will actually sink Kisaragi. Makes one wonder what is going to happen at Midway.
For some strange reason, when you go to the KanColle anime twitter, you sometimes get Urobuchi in the Who to Follow section ._.
The recommendation logic is based on (among others) peoples you follow and peoples who followed the account you viewed.
If you and your friends are following Urobuchi, and he's also following KanColle's Twitter, you will get him in the recommendation. Twitter is also more biased on the popular peoples because they are less likely to bore you down and make you spend more time in Twitter.
she sinks, and then she will be reunited with Mutsuki as an Abyssal-fleet ship girl later on. Bonus if Mutsuki gets to kill Kisaragi herself to "free her"

We had enough /fun/ with Warusame last time, wonder how it will be with Killedsaragi Hime
Inb4 Killedsaragi as one of the boss in the upcoming winter event
To be honest, I really did expected for her to die but after the fight (where the Kongous arrived the scene and save the day) I said to myself that I was wrong, then yet again when I saw the incoming bomber and struck Kisaragi... it surely shocks me.
Okay, now I need some morning rescue.
Well on the brighter side, it seems that the latest episode somehow boosted Kisaragi's popularity.
Plot Twist!! Miyuki was already sunk from a collision with Inazuma that is why she did not appeared in the anime, we'll able to see a flashback story of the collision.
Oh, and that was the first time I actually heard a sinking line.
