Flagship Tan Yang
This is Tan Yang, the flagship of the Taiwanese navy. In comparison to its specs as a Japanese ship, she's grown a bit fatter(?) and her speed has dropped, but reports state that even in 1954, 15 years after her commissioning, she could still sail at a blazing-fast 29 knots. Quite an admirable stalwart, isn't she?
[Explanation copied from the previous upload↓]
This is Tan Yang before her kai form (before 1956), when she was still equipped with Japanese armaments. Her 12.7cm guns are determined to have come from emplacements on Shoushan in Kaohsiung, and her long 10cm guns came from emplacements in the Zuoying Naval Yard. Perhaps these familiar weapons were easier for her to use. It seems that her Type-22 Radar was removed, and replaced with the AN/SPS-10 Radar. Her first turret (at her waist) was made in my own hometown (Zuoying), and has a very charming, unique appearance. At this time, her deck was painted over in dark gray, in the American style (represented by her socks). Additionally, she was painted black and blue above her waterline (around her number 12). The rest of her coloring was taken from Xin Yang in illust/45333631
