I don't think warship are immortal per say. they do have a service lifespan much shorter than a normal human (20-50 years). This is to the point it's beyond repairable from corrosion from being constantly exposed to salt water.
But it can be sure that they will last longer than the one who commands them (Except if the captain wants to go with the ship itself, but that's a different story)

Actually, given proper care, a warship can last centuries. For example, USS Constitution was launched in 1797 and is still able to sail under her own power.
