Hmmm... the dodging rain thing could be used as an insult by people who have been crushed trying to play the touhou games (probably those drawn in through the fandom), and are angry at how the pros could be that good.
P.S. In my (short) experience, I find that to be able to 1cc any Touhou game, I'd have to throw my entire life away (because mastering Touhou takes that long), and I'm not doing that.

Nah, it might seem that way at first but trust me, it gets easier after a while. I actually 1cc'd my first Touhou game within 2 months of on-and-off play(without any SHMUP experience prior to that). Just move no more than you have to, if you're not sure you can make a dogde, use a bomb. Of course, if you wanna get better fast you could kinda do some power training. Get a save where someone's cleared Lunatic, go into Practice Mode and play Stage 6 on said level without using bombs. It's frustrating as all heck and you should expect to die alot but, hey, it works. It's great for increasing your situational awareness and reaction time. Trust me, when you've gone through stuff like Ageless Obsession on Lunatic and switch to Easy or Normal afterwards you're gonna laugh at everything below Stage 5.
Also don't let yourself get beat up about these 'Pro-player's skills. Touhou is a lot about memorisation, especially on the higher difficulties. If you see a No-Death video on Lunatic difficulty you only see that one time they succeeded in their endeavour. Are you willing to bet how many failures it propably took them to get this far? Seeing as those guys tend to know exactly where the enemies are going to appear I'd wager a lot.
Anywho, this reply of mine kind of grew into a text wall already so I'm just going to end it with this: Keep on trying and you'll get there before you know it, don't you worry about that.(Unless, of course, you want to 1cc Lunatic, in which case I say: "Good luck, soldier; you're going to need it.")

It's just a meme, that Touhou masters don't need umbrellas because they can dodge raindrops, based off the super-human dodging skills of Lunatic-difficulty runs.
