The poll wants to know if you're ready to go the distance:
About how far will you go one-way to the convenience store? • 5 minutes • 10 minutes • 30 minutes • I can go by car if it's a distance • I don't have convenience stores in the first place
Reminded me when I was on excursion tour with other students. Below was almost same in two towns that we didn't know. After sunset (nearly 8 pm) we arrived to hotel. Getting to rooms, supper, etc. When night falls, we leave hotel for store to buy some snack reserve for another tomorrow trip. First step is most exciting - because of convenience of plastic cards we haven't many cash and stores can't use them or they already closed. So we must find working ATM that still have cash near midnight. At one town working ATMs was too few. Second step - find store, that works after midnight. At another town we was lucky - store could use cards. Third - return to hotel. After that trip I learned how good can be conv. store at 100m near home.
If you live in the city, it's rare to have one more than 10 minutes walk (so far it's the most popular in the poll too.)
And I have never seen a convini closed since the earthquake. Where the heck are they? Are there convinis in Japan that actually close??
Carpathians, Western Ukraine. Many places very rural and good for tourism. Towns, where we stayed, was on way or near places of interest, but not close to them - to cut costs for stay. And 24/7 stores wasn't rare - problem was to find that store, as mentioned above.
Tweaked Yamame's last panel dialogue to reflect the cultural reference. I believe the English version of DQ has it as "Good morning. You were up late!", while the Japanese is ゆうべはおたのしみでしたね.

I'm not sure if this is meant to reference the specific line. While the line is a possible interpretation, I don't think it applies quite the same to a couple that was out late together versus a couple who were in a hotel room together...

Huh. You could be right; nobody on the Pixiv page actually commented on that. Unless it's such a common reference (like 'is the ___'s ___ a monster?') that nobody batted an eyelid.
But I get the feeling that the gang felt free to tease them about it precisely because there didn't seem to be anything going on. If there was any sign of an actual relationship, the friends would probably have behaved in a more circumspect manner (see: Yamame x Ran).

LeerMornin'! Y'all sure were up late! Reference to the infamous Dragon Quest 1 event that happens if you stay at an inn with a potential love interest.
