The survey knows it's the journey, not the destination:
How will you go to Osaka? • On foot • Train • Bus • Airplane • By dice journey
That last option refers to a segment from the Hokkaido-based TV variety show How About Wednesday? Six dice would have destinations/transport options on their faces. Where the hosts went depended on the roll of the die. Whatever destination came up, they had to go there, then roll the next die. The final goal was always getting back to Hokkaido, and as long as transportation facilities were available and the die didn't come up "stay overnight", they always had to keep traveling until they got there. They usually had a weekend to complete the trip. If things got down to the wire (one of them always had to be back by Monday for other broadcast obligations), the show would offer a die with more faces reading "Sapporo" to increase their chances.
The dice journey sounds like fun. It would end poorly for me - I have zero luck with dice - but it sounds fun just the same.
