I could swear I'd seen something like this before, so I went hunting and found post #670784...but I know I've seen a bigger version than that. I have it printed out, and it took up 6 landscape pages to make it legible. Not being able to find it again on Danbooru is driving me nuts.

That's the other half of the one I linked; the one I printed is at least 2x bigger and lists every single character pre-last-Touhou. I need to dig it out and see if it has a watermark...
The Prismrivers are psychic phenomena created by a medium (Layla) based on memories of her elder sisters. But I suppose "ghosts" is clear enough for them.
Is the taoist's haven (Senkai) really inside Gensokyo? I was under the impression that it was another dimension that girls must portal to and from, just like Higan or Hakugyokurou. In particular, the path to Old Hell seems more connected to Gensokyo than Senkai.

Tenshi is a celestial which is a continuation of being a hermit (although Tenshi was never even a hermit). As far as I can tell the two are still similar in many ways. Both have to fend off Kishin, both have to stay "good". The only difference is that Celestials have it a bit easier (aren't eaten by Youkai, don't have to recite sutras all day, get to chill in heaven). I kinda wanna just call them all human but I think the Hermit distinction is useful.
While there is just a mountain of evidence suggesting Kasen is actually an Oni, its still all fanon. The fact is that, canonically, Kasen is still a Hermit, and that's what we're judging here. If Kasen insists that she is a Hermit, then alright, there's nothing saying that she isn't one thus far.
I distinguish them because Akyuu distinguishes them. That's about it.
