A karei is a flounder. And judging the position of the eyes, it is right eyed flounder, regarded as a delicacy. But too bad Homura didn't get a left eyed flounder, for some strange reason Japanese folk think its tastier than a right eyed one (personally I could never figure it out if it was or not)
What Sayaka-chan caught is a Tai which is a red sea bream, also a very tasty fish that many japanese people regard as a delicacy. A pretty auspicious fish and Sayaka-chan has one heck of a large one.
