Solution:
"OH, HEY, YOU'RE BACK, SAKUYA! HAHAHA! I'M SO VERY BUSY WITH IMPORTANT, BUSY THINGS, SO WHY DON'T YOU TAKE YOUR TIME SHOWING RINNOUSKE AROUND?" *mechanical wave, and make for the exit*
So is he just moving away from Pixiv or has something convinced him to not release comics any more? Obviously Google Translate isn't great at hashing out details like that...

A number of people know this already, I think, but yours truly, Hidefu Kitayan, has decided to leave Pixiv. There are a lot of factors involved—influence of my PC, work, personal affairs and so on...so I decided to go back to square one. My apologies to everyone who's bookmarked and favorited me.
Certain people told me "It would be rude just to vanish without saying anything," so I'm writing it out here.
I really should have quit sooner, but I enjoyed everyone's delighted comments and communication, and I just kept on going before I knew it. (^^;) But it really was a lot of fun.
I even consulted with "Green Big Bro"-san, who has kindly been animating my manga, and I decided to leave once all of Big Bro-san's animating was done. Those wonderful folks who say they still want to see my manga, please look forward to Big Bro-san's animation, since I don't think the animated versions will be removed. (^^;)
And yet, thinking back on it, compared to back in the day, the number of Morichika Rinnosuke illos and manga has really grown, which just tickles me!! When I started off, there were very few postings, and most of those were Kourin, so... (^^;)
It's because all the Touhou fans around me loved yuri. (^^;) I kept getting told I was weird or gross because I liked normal couplings. (^^;) However, I was really delighted to meet others on Pixiv who liked the same things I did!! I truly thank those who have enjoyed my manga from the bottom of my heart!!
Sorry this has ended up so corny and maudlin. (^^;) But I really do thank you all!
Well then, everyone, thanks for sticking with me for so long!! If you spot an apparition manga somewhere again, I'd love it if you'd read it without sweating the details.
Sorry to have rambled on so long. Okay, see you all again somewhere.
And finally...keep making more pure Aya-Rin!! lololol
Well, that's kind of depressing. Wish I'd caught sight of this before he deleted everything so I could've responded directly.

I am so freaking mad right now. Even japanese yurishippers act like that? Insulting an artist because they like straight shipping? I feel sick. Sometimes I really hate yuri fans. But thankfully he met some like-minded people that supported his work. I just wish circumstances hadn't forced him to quit on his Touhou work. I would love to read more of his stuff.

I hear ya, I shudder whenever I see a yuri commentator going all like "How dare this penis exists in my Touhou!!!" Alternatively goes for other series with a dominant female cast. *cough*Nanoha*cough*
I like both, but I'm not about to blow up a country for a pairing I don't like.

So, no more Aya-chan x Trollsuke manga? ...It feels like all my surroundings were painted pitch black all of a sudden. First Drill Chichikuri, now this. I know it's inevitable that most doujin activity ends someday, but still, that's so sad. Real life is a... witch sometimes, I can only wish he won't regret his decisions.

That's quite a lot to ask, but can you try to send him a message from us danboorians via "Green Big Bro"-san? It feels bad to think that Hidefu will never know about his "overseas" fans, and about how much did he contribute to the community.

Damn, I didn't know about this until now.I thought he was only taking a break until I decided to check his pixiv page and found out it doesn't exist anymore. Feel really depressed, especially when I haven't yet to find his work in the rinnosuke anthology. Also, first time I've ever heard of yuri fans calling a straightshipper weird/gross. Usually, it's the other way around.
Oh well, best of luck to Hidefu. Going to miss THOSE faces

Right there with you. I decided to catch up on this and seeing that's he left is a bit heartbreaking. At least his work will still be here for a good laugh. I hope someone can contact him some way so that he knows we western fans appreciate his hard work

It sounds like you guys are going the exact opposite route, though. Forcing straight shipping where it obviously doesn't exist. It's equally annoying, if not more so because of the purposefully male-devoid nature of the series. It just sounds like you guys are forcing your own bias on others.
I personally thought this guys stuff got a little obnoxious as it went on.
He started portraying Rinnosuke as a typical harem mary-sue with all the girls constantly and improbably fawning over him. It really hurt his work when too many of the girls started paying him that kind of attention, honestly.

Yeah, because ZUN never wrote any stories with males characters. In fact, there's canonically not a single man in Gensokyo. It's not like the men are busy doing important things like getting food or drinking beer while watching football while the women are playing danmaku. Rinnosuke himself is an Original Character.

Stop this sarcasm, guys. Fighting over things like that...
Okay, guys. Shut up. Respect the other side and respect the other too. We may have different point of views but we are here because we like what Japan have given us. We respected them for those things. If we can respect another ideology, then we can settle our differences and stop this pointless arguement about a character or our preferences.
A man had left us. Let us not waste what art he gave for arguements...
I hope that everyone, including the mods, understand what happened.
Mods, if you have to do what you need to do, do it for the peace of the many

There is but one thing to say about this: FUCKING YURIFAGS!
With that out of the way I would like to clarify I'm not against Yuri, just people who act like that. I do wish that he was able to stick it out but that's the way life is and such a route is far from easy.
Though I wonder how many were more butthurt that various Touhous were getting trolled by some harmless shopkeeper.
He will be missed and hopefully such a deplorable trend is stopped by those brave enough to stand up.
It sort of makes sense that the whole "ship-hate" thing isn't something localised to an English-speaking website. That's too bad, then.
I still maintain that it's okay to like or dislike things, but once people start acting churlish because something THEY don't like has appeared, that's when feelings get hurt and people start leaving.

Which in turn only encourages them to heckle more (no offense to those that do leave)
Hmm... I'm not sure you guys are reading his comment correctly. I read it as that he started drawing his series and was happy to find an audience online when the people he knew (in person, I'd assume) were all yuri fans. Nothing to do with him calling it quits.

Well, that's all well and good, but his Pixiv is gone.

Anyone can read what they want to read. The author might have other reasons to retire, but people are fixated on the "controversial" bits, and make mountains out of molehills.
I'm not sure if somebody's already said this: We all have our own taste in things we like, and we might feel slightly defensive about it Even though so,it's no excuse to start hating somebody who has different tastes than we do. Because simply,if that happens,it'll only paint a ugly picture about everyone who has the same tastes as us. Which in the end reflects on all,and that's something nobody likes(or so i think/guess/theorize)

Maybe. Or I'm just too hopeful that a bunch of yuri fans didn't drive him away for something as silly and stupid as him liking hetro couplings.
